Ashleigh Plumptre started her youthful carrier in football at the age of 4 from Asfordby Amateurs. She later joined an English Premier League club Leicester City in 2006, that was when she was eight years. This beautiful defender spend seven years in Leicester City and Later joined Birmingham City. She did a complete year in Birmingham and sealed a move to Derby County in 2014.

Plumptre‘s excellent performance and love for soccer took her to a professional level where she played for Notts County. She also played college soccer at the University of Southern California with USC Trojans in the United States of America from 2016 – 2019. From there she returned to Leicester where she is currently playing.

On the national level, Ashleigh Plumptre started with the English national team from U15 to U17, U19, and U23 respectively. In 2021, she publicly declared her interest to play for the Super Falcons (the Nigerian Senior Women’s team). Her desire to represent her father’s land was answered and she is currently playing for Nigeria.

Her first appearance for the Super Falcons was during the African Women’s Cup of Nations qualifiers on the 18th of February, 2022 against Cote D’Ivoire. The match was played at M.K.O Abiola Stadium in Abuja, Nigeria and Super Falcons made an amazing 2-0 victory against Cote D’Ivoire. She was attracted and also highly rated by many due to her wonderful performance in the match.
