Today 23rd of June 2022, drama hit the supreme court in Abuja as a human rights lawyer, Malcolm Omoirhobo appears in the courtroom wearing a JUJU (traditional worshipers) attire.
Recall that the supreme court some days ago approved the female Muslim students to start wearing hijab to school in Lagos. Referring to section 38 of the Nigerian constituency which states the right to freedom of thought, conscience, and religion.
Malcolm Omoirhobo in this regard arrived at the court barefooted and was completely dressed in herbalist attire, holding feathers.
According to the report, the security tried to stop him but he dared them saying he is also enjoying his rights as a citizen of the country by appearing in his way of worship.
Malcolm Omoirhobo further noted that he is not against the supreme court’s decision but rather grateful as citizens are now free to express their way of worship in public places, regardless of schools and courts.
