Three brothers in the Badariya area, Birnin, Kebbi State, have been arrested by the police for beating their neighbor, Abbas Abubakar A.K.A Zabi, to death for allegedly stealing their motorcycle.
Information gathered that the suspects, identified as Abubakar Ahmed, Ubaidu Ahmed, and Halilu Ahmed, conspired and went to the deceased house on the 19th of September, 2022, and asked his elder brother “Sanusi Abubakar M” to call him out.
When called, they took him to their house, tied him up using a rope, and mercilessly beat him to the state of comma.
On the same date around 2: 30 PM, they took the said Abbas Abubakar in a motor vehicle to a nearby police division, in Birnin Kebbi State.
The police instantly arrested them and also rushed the deceased to Sir Yahaya memorial hospital in Birnin Kebbi, where he was confirmed dead.
The commissioner of Police, Kebbi State Command, CP Ahmed Magaji Kontagora from there directed the DPO in the division to immediately transfer the case to State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) for a thorough investigation.
