A child born without an anus in Benue State successfully received surgery after eight (8) years.
If you can recall, a beautiful baby identified as Doosuun was born without an anus about 8 years ago. This sad condition was a worrying matter to everyone as the baby was developing a swollen stomach due to the inability to pass stool.
A sum of 108k was requested for the baby’s second phase of surgery but hence the parents could not raise the fund, many people supported and raised the said amount to save the child’s life.
Thanks to God that the second phase of the surgery was carried out successfully at FMC Apir Makurdi, in Benue state.
It’s a thing of joy as the perforation of the anus went successfully. However, the Doctor stated that Doosuun will have to recover for six weeks before the final phase of the surgery which is the closure of the Colostomy (opening the stomach) and the direction of the intestinal tract to the anus will be carried out.
