The federal government of Nigeria has moved a step to ban motorcycles and mining activities in Nigeria, following the attack of terrorists and other illegal activities going on in the country.
This was made known after Thursday’s Security Council meeting chaired by Muhammadu Buhari who is the President of the country, and Abubakar Malami, the Attorney General of the Federation and minister of justice.
According to Malami, The motorcycles and mining activities ban comes as a result of high-level of bandits and terrorist attacks in the country.
He noted that the use of motorcycles facilitates the movement of funds from mining places to the channels where the arms are been purchased.
If you can recall, most of the terrorist attacks in the country including the recent Kuje prison attack are carried out using motorcycles.
However, the decision to ban motorcycles and mining activities in the country is not finalized yet.
